Live By Night

Live By Night

Deceit, Betrayal, Power and the Rise.

As being a part of the early viewing to see Live by Night at Warner Brothers in London.

screen-shot-2017-01-13-at-10-25-25

The film as a whole was well shaped, had a clear direction and captured the era perfectly.

It wasn’t a typical gangster film, which in my opinion was really nice. They concentrated on different aspects that would have actually happened and arisen in that historic time period.

There were many twists and turns in the film, some you could predict, others there was no chance.

Some raised the issue that the ending tied up all the loose ties and didn’t leave much to the imagination in leaving the audience to wonder. However, the ending had many twists but I liked the fact everything tied together.

KREAFUNK

KREAFUNK

My KREAFUNK Review:

on AHEAD Wireless Stereo Headphones.

With the new iPhone 7 I wanted to try a wireless headphone set.  I have previously owned a pair, but I found that I rarely used them as they would never be charged or I found myself just using the headphone jack.

img_5564

So rather than buying an expensive pair of headphones I wanted to see whether I used them enough to maybe advance later, but after purchasing the AHEAD Wireless Stereo Headphones I feel that I don’t need an upgrade.

Benefits of the headset are they are extremely lightweight and don’t feel heavy, also via the headset you can change the volume, pause, play and skip tracks which I find really useful. They are easy to use and have long lasting usage of up to 14 hours, along with hands-free phone functions.

Oh and the packaging is on point! literally beautiful packaging for a reasonably priced product.

img_5546

Flaws are there not fully noise canceling headphones, however for the price of £79 that’s not really a problem ! only a problem for the person sat next to you..

I purchased my pair of headphones from Urban Outfitters because of they offer student discount !!! But I would recommend that you try them as they might not be right for you!

All the best,

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year!

Travelling In Style Guide

Travelling In Style Guide

Summer brings us great adventures and memories we will always have with us. But the lead up to a great holiday or weekend break means packaging and planning. As a person that tends to do this a lot, whether it be travelling to London and back or flying I have to pre-plan because otherwise, I forget.

Trust me I’m awful, here are few stories just in case you don’t believe me. Once I packed last minute and forgot to pack shoes yes shoes, the only pair I had was the ones I left home in. Another incident is I have a tendency to forget my toothbrush. This happens at least nearly every time because I leave it out last minute to pack. However, it never makes it in their last minute. So a number of times I have had to buy a new one in a panic at the airport.

So to avoid any stories relating to mine I’ve come up with packing tips, useful information to keep you stylish and on trend but also practical.

Before Packing:

Plan.

Create a checklist of items you want to take.

Make an itinerary of what you are going to wear for day and evening.

This way, it makes it easy when packing, knowing you have the right amount of clothing. However, always take a few more options, because for me I always change my mind.

The trend this summer, is slip dresses, geometric, stripes, chunky sandals, scalloped hem bikini, tops with exaggerated sleeves, graphics bags, lace-up flats, denim with patches, bomber jackets, pastels, metallics and underwear is outerwear.

Rather than buying a whole new wardrobe, get out all of your summer clothes, look what is on trend and see if you have still got things that are similar. Then if there’re a few things you want to make more on trend or need to replace it’s more achievable.

However, for the upcoming season, it’s all about making sure you match the right colours. With having Emerald & Gold, Yellow & Chocolate, Russet & Claret and Purple & Navy. Also red, white and black are colour schemes popping up more often in the new campaigns.

IMG_0167

Check technology, check that you have got the music you want on there, movies and books. Because I have been that person trying to do it last minute, it’s not fun.

Packing:

Pack plenty of layers, for if it gets chilly in the evening or to cover up from the sun. As a person who the sun doesn’t like, I find taking linen shirts covers me from the sun but also doesn’t overcook me.

Pack comfortable shoes along with flats, sneakers, sandals that you could dress up and the comfy going-out heels.

Wear comfy slip on trainers shoes especially when leaving for the airport there easy to come off.

When packaging shoes amongst clothing keep them in your dust bags, because you don’t want dirty shoes in with your nice clean clothes.

IMG_0189

Pack a small emergency kit, that can travel in your suitcase then put into your purse once on arrival. This kit can be personalised, but in mine, it has things that I will always need.

Such as plasters, hair bands, Bobby pins, perfume, hand cream, sun cream, lip balm, small hair brush, lady things, mints, ibuprofen and hand sanitiser.

IMG_0185

Toiletries are an important thing.

Take two bags one for your toiletries and one for makeup they don’t have to be big bags just to separate it a bit.

Take the travel sizes of your products, so then once you’re there you can bin it which leaves more room for bringing back gifts and clothes ! But remember to pack toiletries in plastic bags just in case they leak.

Packing Hand Luggage:

Hand luggage, take what you need. So for me, it’s my iPhone, iPad, Mac (sometimes), camera, purse, passport, headphones, sunglasses, reading glasses, book, charger and a travel notebook so I can store some of my mementoes in there so I don’t lose them. Also, I usually take with me sweat pants and extra thick socks, because usually it gets really cold and it’s nice to have something comfortable to wear for a long flight.

Travel Outfit & Random Tips:

Remember customs, so no tweezers, anything over 100ml.

Also, you have to take belts, jewellery, watches, coats or jackets off. So I simply recommend wearing just your watch and pair your outfit off with a scarf so that it’s easy to take off.

IMG_0193

Random Tips:

  1. Some people customise their luggage with stickers which I think looks really cool and effective. However, if you don’t want to stick stickers everywhere stick them on your travel notebook.
  2. I’ve just found out if you put tumble dryer sheets in your luggage it will keep your clothes smelling fresh.
  3. If your packing certain jackets or coats wear them to the airport so that you have more room and remember the weight limit !

Hope you have a great summer and safe journey where ever your plans take you.

The Wonders In My Bag !

The Wonders In My Bag !

Hidden within the mysterious designer forest is a Mulberry Bag filled with wonders, which is a nice way to say filled with a lot of junk ! But then again one person’s junk is another gal’s treasure !

Personally, I am a person who dislikes carrying around too much stuff, so within my bag all you will find is the bare esstainals !

Mulberry is one of my favourite designer brands, so this bag is one of my must haves because it’s just so beautiful !

The need for a larger purse, because it holds all those point cards ! Because lets be honest they take up most of the space…

IMG_9270

My most important item is my phone !

It holds everything from social media, music, books and tube map ! Oh, and to contact people …

As a naturally clumsy person I drop things, even though I don’t intend to it just jumps out of my hands !

So this time, for my phone I brought the survivour core case, and it has saved its life multiple times !!

The luck doesn’t stop there !

I also need reading glasses, but I can pull off the look with these Karl Lagerfeld frames, because let’s face it they are pretty cool !

You will always find me with a pair of  headphones in my bag, because you never know when you’ll need them ! Could be traveling, getting to work or just because you love music.

Beats are my go to set, they are noise cancelling and a pair of headphones that are actually comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have tried wireless headphones before but I always forget to charge them up and end up still using the cable, so that’s why I’ve got the Beats Solo.

I never leave without a pair of Sunglasses, because you never know when you need to shade the haters !

Or to hide a bad make-up day, I sometimes use them just to hold my hair back from my face, don’t judge I have really long hair.

IMG_9297

My favourite fragrance is the MOSCHINO Fresh Couture, because it’s the coolest thing ever.

With me, I always have a small fragrance rolling around my bag ! Because you always need to smell fabulous !

I always need a pen & paper no matter where, because I am fed up with losing paper and stuff floating around my bag !

So having a nice set keeps me from losing it.

Moisturising cream & Vaseline

I suffer from sensitive skin so I always in need of hand cream. So I usually carry around E45 cream because it’s the only one that doesn’t irritate. Vaseline you always need that !

Hairbands, Hair Slides & Hair comb

As a person with extremely thick and long hair, I always need these items to sort out the mess of my hair !

The cute Spiral Hair Toggle are from Sweaty Betty and come in a pack of 5, the other 3 are summer bright colours !

Last but not least the iPhone charger !
