At Reading Festival, Green camp is the best. Its close to the main arena entrance !

I am huge festival and gig person, but I have learnt some useful tips whilst going. Personally I have seen behind the scenes, and it’s not all rainbows.

So I have created a basic list to help you survive your festival weekend ?

Living life on a found broken chair ! So take one, mine didn’t last a day !

You don’t need to pack as much as you think, pack light you only have to carry it around.

Clothing needed:

The majority of the trend at every festival is wearing shorts, flowers in your hair, bandanas, flowing cardigans, prints and flowery clothing. And why they hell not everyone has there own style !

My personal style is shorts, a couple of loose t-shirts, cool shades and most definitely wellies!

But make them bright and colourful! Because you can spot anyone out of a crowd then !

Also bring hoodies or a warm coat cause it gets cold in the evening, even though bonfires are sometimes allowed it still gets cold.

It’s summer after all, get the cool shades out !

I found taking snack foods and then having a decent meal a day from one the eating places, however they are expensive. But find where the nearest supermarket is and do a trip of getting drinks and food. It will be busy but is saves you having to bring it all.

Finding the best place to set up camp. Ask people who have gone before, they will know the best places to go, otherwise just wing it !

Water bottles your’ll need them, because no glass is allowed inside the camp. It gets hot in the arena and your usually allowed to take empty water bottles inside, were you can fill them up !

It’s always busy ..

Every person’s worst nightmare are the toilets ! They are not your friends, but I have learnt some tricks such as take toilet roll, hand sanitizer, toilet seat covers and try to use the arena ones because they will seem like luxury !

Items needed:

Camping cups, tent, warm sleeping bag, a mat to make the ground comfortable, platers, a chair or a ground sheet. This is because you can’t trust the weather and no one wants to sit in the mud !

Get a programme then you won’t miss anything !

I find that you don’t usually want to take anything expensive, or all your’ll do is worry about it. So take things that you can think “If I lost this ! will I actually be upset.”

So for example everyone wants to document the event, I prefer to take compact cameras its more fun and they can be replaced !

You can take your iPhone there are charging stations, but I prefer to go old school and take a Nokia brick phone. Or go really crazy and take the camera flip phone !

Get involved in the middle of the crowd, for me its where the most fun is.

This is most of what I can think of, but if anyone has a questions I’ll be happy to answer !

If not enjoy your summer and stay safe 😀

Have fun on your festivials journey becasue lets face it they’re just to much fun……
